Cleanse & Prep
Your aesthetician cleanses the treatment area and prepares your skin for a smooth, even SkinPen microneedling treatment.

SkinPen microneedling creates tiny, controlled channels in the skin. That signal encourages your body’s natural repair process, which supports new collagen and healthier-looking skin over time.
At Roots of Nature Aesthetic & Wellness, your provider looks at your skin history, habits, goals, and timeline before recommending treatment. That context helps your provider decide where SkinPen microneedling fits and what your skin needs next.
Tell us what’s on your mind, and we’ll help guide the rest.

Microneedling may be a good fit if you want to improve texture, acne scars, enlarged pores, early signs of aging, or mild laxity. It’s also helpful for patients who want skin renewal that works with the body’s natural repair process.
Our aesthetician will help you choose from several treatment enhancements based on your skin, concerns, and goals. Whether you’re looking to support hydration, improve tone and texture, or maximize your skin’s rejuvenation response, we can personalize your microneedling experience with add-ons including ZO Skin Health Accelerated Serums, SkinMedica TNS Recovery Complex, OxyMist, or PRFM. Together, we’ll select the option that best complements your treatment and helps you get more from each session.

We apply lidocaine cream for comfort, then your aesthetician uses SkinPen microneedling to create controlled microchannels.
Before treatment, we’ll walk you through aftercare, recovery expectations, and how to best support your results at home. We provide all patients with aftercare products.

Typically, patients notice early changes within 1 to 2 weeks, especially in tone, texture, and overall brightness. Collagen takes longer to build, so results continue developing after the first visible refresh. During microneedling treatment, Lee’s Summit patients should expect gradual progress, not overnight change, especially when treating scars or collagen loss.
Most patients need 3 to 6 sessions, depending on their skin, goals, and level of texture or scarring.
Acne scars, stretch marks, and collagen loss usually need a series because the skin rebuilds in stages. If you’re planning microneedling treatment in Lee’s Summit with Roots of Nature Aesthetic & Wellness, we’ll talk through timing between visits and when to reassess your progress.
Traditional microneedling uses SkinPen alone to create controlled microchannels and encourage natural collagen production.
Microneedling with PRFM adds platelet-rich fibrin matrix, which comes from your own blood and supports a more regenerative approach. If you’re comparing options for microneedling treatment in Lee’s Summit, our team can explain which version fits your skin goals, timeline, and long-term plan for care.
